I work full time in the Downtown Dallas area. I have decided to go back to school to finish my degree, although I did not get that far the first time around years ago. I am studying business administration and this blog is created as a requirement of a current class. It is hard to say how active this post will be after the class is over, because I have "Too Much To Do", but will try to make a few posts once in a while.
I like crafting, especially quilting. I also enjoy knitting and crocheting. My yarn projects tend to be smaller, easier projects that I can often finish in a few hours. I like the smaller projects because you get the sense of completion without adding another item on the to do list and have it lingering on over time. But quilting is my favorite. I try to spend time every week in the sewing room - it is my therapy, helps me relax, keeps me going. Whether it is going shopping for new fabric, or just running a couple of blocks together through the machine, it clears my mind, helps me focus and work on that ever growing "to do" list.
I enjoy reading and love the availability of audio books that I can listen to in the car while sitting in traffic. Although I love picking up a physical book, I am able to listen to and enjoy so many more books . I like romance novels, historical fiction, inspirational, funny with a few suspense/thrillers mixed in.
I enjoy watching TV and movies, and probably watch too much but sometimes you need to just sit and relax. I like reality shows like Dancing With the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, America's Got Talent, Hell's Kitchen and Master Chef. I also like police/crime shows like NCIS, Criminal Minds and Hawaii Five-O. A few medical shows like Grey's Anatomy, The Resident and 9-1-1 (although that could also be a police show). For movies - I want to laugh, and be entertained. I like super heroes movies, like the Marvel group, action/sci-fi like Star Wars and Harry Potter. I also like musicals and "classic" movies like Grease, Wizard of Oz, anything with Doris Day, Rock Hudson, Cary Grant. I will confess that I even turn on an Elvis movie occasionally. And Disney movies are always on the list.
That is enough about me for now, because I have "Too Much To Do" and need to get busy.
